Travaux Interdisciplinaires sur la PArole et le langage (Interdisciplinary work on speech and language)

TIPA is an open-access journal published on the “OpenEdition Journals” online journal platform, with no submission or publication fees. The evaluation procedure is a double-blind assessment by a scientific committee whose composition is indicated below.

Special issue of IMPEC 2024: Screens and artistic practices

As part of the sixth edition of the IMPEC 2024 symposium, which aims to define and understand the specificities of screen-based communication in the light of creativity, innovation and ethics, Travaux Interdisciplinaires sur la PArole et le langage is dedicating issue no. 40 to the B theme of the symposium, taking stock of the state of research and various works relating to artistic practices.

Unpublished articles, in French or English, are welcome. Interdisciplinary articles from different fields (information and communication sciences, linguistics, philosophy, literature, didactics of French - FL1, FLE/S -, didactics of literature, sociology, anthropology, etc.), as well as multimodal articles, i.e. integrating image, audio or video, with a hypertextual dimension and favoring an interactive, even performative, version of the text, will be particularly appreciated with a view to publication in digital format. Research-creation approaches (Gosselin and Le Coguiec, 2006) are also welcome.

A Varia section will be available for papers relating to IMPEC's Axis A: The world of work: collectives, risks, inequalities and ethical management, and Axis C: Ethics and ecology.

Submission procedures

Articles submitted to TIPA are read and evaluated by the journal's editorial board (see “Instructions for authors” at https://tipa.revues.org/222). Articles should be between 10 and 20 pages long, i.e. around 35,000 - 80,000 characters or 6,000 - 12,000 words. The recommended average size for each contribution is around 15 pages. The file must be in .docx (Word) format. Authors are asked to provide a summary of the article in the language of the article (French or English; between 120 and 200 words) as well as a long summary of around two pages in the other language (French if the article is in English and vice versa), together with 5 keywords in both languages (French-English). Deadlines

•     May 2024: 1st call for submissions or expressions of interest
•     July 15, 2024: 1st call for article submission (version 1)
•     September 15, 2024: 2nd call for submissions (depending on the number of proposals received)
•     November 15, 2024: feedback from the scientific committee; acceptance, proposed modifications (to version 1) or rejection
•     January 15, 2025: submission of modified version (version 2)
•     March 15, 2025: committee feedback (on version 2)
•     Summer 2025: publication
